Lately there's been a string of works where one scenario gets stolen by Seri-san or Hako-san (which is great in its own way, but still), so it's been a while since we got all three scenarios with Zuna-chan carrying the lead role! Right from the start, Zuna-chan saying "That's an indirect kiss, you know" was so cute I was writhing! In the first few panels she was still the ditzy character, but she's gradually become more mature and reliable! This girl really is adorable~ And I love how she brings up stories about the other characters in conversation! She got called out by Seri-san about the hot pot incident in the previous work, so she really must be spreading all sorts of gossip around the neighborhood lol
Seri-san goes completely wild right from the start! And having Zuna-chan come on to you too is just too much (*ﾟ▽ﾟ)ﾉ You'll understand once you listen, so I won't go into detail, but the feeling of actually existing within the world of "Michikusaya" is such a treat that it almost makes you stop caring whether it's ASMR or not... no wait, don't worry, they've put real effort into that aspect too (･∀･) Listening to it just makes your heart go all warm and fuzzy, like a quiet kind of excitement, and this time especially I found myself thinking "sorry for having naughty thoughts" (*´∀`) When Shiro-san or Hako-san is the main, you'd expect a certain kind of development, but this one is good in its own way too - maybe like a slightly grown-up game of house? What a great era we live in, being able to casually listen to something this good. Thank you, Michikusaya! Whether it costs you sleep or helps you sleep well, either way it feels great, so no complaints - just go ahead and listen (´▽`)
Michikusaya is a series-type work, and as you go through installment after installment - becoming more and more of a regular at Michikusaya - the relationship with the characters naturally changes too. This work is the point where that accumulation of relationship finally reaches the level of family. It's not that she's hugging you while saying "I love you!" Rather, that relationship and atmosphere is conveyed through every little word and gesture, and it tells the whole story. It's a work that makes you truly feel you've reached that deep a relationship. If you haven't listened to any Michikusaya works before, I'd really recommend listening through all of the Suzuna works first before this one.
This work features healing from things like carbonated head spa treatments by this installment's heroine, Suzuna-chan. On the way to Michikusaya you chat idly and watch festival fireworks, and from the very start you can fully soak in the atmosphere of the Michikusaya series world. The shampoo and head spa are also extremely pleasant, and more than anything, the conversation woven in between treatments feels so natural that I almost wonder if it's all the voice actress's ad-libbing. Put on your earphones, press play, and you're instantly transported into the world of Michikusaya. With travel being hard to come by these days, why not try healing yourself with this work that's absolutely full of that travel feeling?
The barber Suzuna shop returns! Even before that, the conversation on the way to the shop after being picked up by the staff member gave off a real sense of nostalgia. Fireworks, passing a drink around to share... all those classic countryside moments. It was a healing yet entertaining first half. The second half is the healing part, this time at the Suzuna shop. The crisp snip of the scissors, the sounds of things being picked up and set down - all sorts of sounds come through, giving a strong sense of presence and a deeply soothing feeling.
Compared to the similar work released in 2017, even with the same playback environment, the way it sounds feels quite different. I suppose that's only natural after 4 years have passed. How it sounds varies a lot between individuals, so I won't say one is better than the other, but since the previous work suited me so perfectly, this is a bit of a letdown for me personally. That said, the quality itself hasn't dropped, and depending on the person, this one might suit you better. The environmental sound work is as wonderful as ever. This is a work best enjoyed in summer, so definitely listen while it's still hot.
The sound is clearly more crisp now. It genuinely sounds like she's right there talking to you, and you end up feeling like you're actually there. If anything, this is the one where I could feel Zunanan the most. As for the content, it's doing similar things to last time, but it's crafted in a way that gives more of a sense of familiarity, like an annual event or an extension of everyday life, and that lets you feel more immersed without anything feeling off. Anyway, honestly, I just love these three girls so much.
This is the new installment of the Michikusaya series, a popular franchise that needs no introduction. This time, the heroine is Suzuna-san, the charismatic barber of Michikusaya. I'm sure a lot of people have already reviewed it, so here I'll just introduce a few points I'd recommend. The thing that first astonished me this time was definitely the "small fireworks." Even though binaural works tend to struggle with vertical movement, I thought it beautifully recreated "launching fireworks." And then there's the vending machine that comes after! Scenes of buying a drink from a vending machine have appeared in other audio works before, but I don't think any work besides Michikusaya has announced the presence of a vending machine with such an old-fashioned motor hum. Just that one point alone was enough to push this work to the very top for me. Anyway, I'd recommend just buying it and listening for yourself first.
This is a wholesome story about Suzuna-san, the staff member at Michikusaya, giving a haircut, shampoo, and ear cleaning. This installment starts with you arriving at the bus stop and heading to Michikusaya with Seri-san and Suzuna-san, who both seem a bit more energetic than usual. The sounds of summer insects, frogs croaking, and the vending machine blend naturally into the two of them casually chatting back and forth, which made the immersion even stronger. At "barber Suzuna," you get a haircut while hearing cicadas, the sound of wind chimes, and Suzuna-san's small talk in the background. The second half is a head spa service full of carbonation. The fizzy, sparkling sound of the carbonation gives a refreshing feeling and a real sense of summer, making this a recommended work perfectly suited for the coming season.
This is episode 7 of the Suzuna arc in the Michikusaya series. In the early days, Zuna-chan used to have some R15 episodes, but now she's firmly settled into the wholesome category. Maybe that's because of her position as a kind of loli-type character? This time, in addition to the usual "barber Suzuna," there's a scene where she stands around chatting with Seri-san and Zuna-chan while passing around a single drink to share. By the way, the little boar character also makes an appearance.
