Trains in mental landscapes tend to be pretty gloomy, don't they, like something out of Eva○gelion? But in this work, the heroine who shows up there is super energetic! Cheerful! And loud! (lol) Given she's in a skintight suit talking about being a robot pilot, the motif is definitely Eva○gelion, but if that show had a heroine this endlessly bright, it probably would've turned into a completely different story (lol) Her jabs at how the ○ngels don't really look like living creatures had me going "Well, yeah, now that you mention it... why did I never think twice about that?" (lol) A heroine with mental fortitude surpassing even that famous glasses girl comes and smashes the gloomy scenario to bits...! It was a fun story that felt like fan fiction, yet somehow also didn't — I enjoyed it a lot.
The heroine this time is a girl with insanely high energy that you meet on the train in the mental landscape. She's apparently a robot pilot, fighting giant enemies alongside her comrades. However, it seems her comrades are all kind of introverted types, so she doesn't get along with them well since she alone is super cheerful. She ended up on this train because of the enemy's mental attack, apparently — but she was jealous that only her comrades got to ride it, so she pushed the enemy, saying "Put me on too!" and they reluctantly let her on. Normally, someone you hate or a traumatic memory is supposed to appear in the seat across from you, but instead something weird showed up for her — she cheerfully tells you all this, one thing after another. Honestly... I kind of feel sorry for the enemy at this point ^^; She's the kind of quirky girl who feels like she belongs in a gag manga, and Rike Amau's voice acting was adorable — I really enjoyed it♪
Is this something that's even allowed to exist in this world...? This... It barrels through about 10 minutes of comedy at high tempo. You know that thing where an anime episode gets surreally funny just because the usual straight-man character isn't around? It's basically that. No, it goes way beyond that — like the sea just parted and a whole path opened up. Also, I really just had to say this, that's the whole reason I'm writing this review, but — since when did fried chicken deserve a description like it's cheesecake????
