[CV: Manaka Ishimi] Healed by the Second Cutest Girl in Class Being Sweet to You [Kurani-ka ASMR]

It's me, the shipping-obsessed doctor. I got into Classmate from the manga, and I'm still only partway through volume 3 of the original novel, so as a newcomer my understanding might be a bit shallow, sorry about that. To avoid spoilers I won't go into the content, but the art, voice, sound effects, and scenario were all wonderful — I genuinely felt like I'd jumped straight into the world of Classmate, and it was the best! ( ^ ^ ) ──except for the part where I end up becoming """""Maki-kun""""" I think Umi-chan is cute. I want her to be happy, too. But that's "I want her to be happy together WITH Maki-kun," not "I want to replace Maki-kun and become happy with Umi-chan myself," seriously, man… Sorry, I got a little carried away there. ( ^ ^ ) My only complaint is that there wasn't a wall's-perspective track, but you can work around this by playing it from a speaker at a distance! Fellow weirdos with the same hang-up, please give it a try! There's no doubt this is a top-tier ASMR work worth buying for Classmate fans, but I'm docking it to 4 stars to account for the wound I inflicted on myself.

*I haven't read the original work. I heard the original is getting an anime adaptation, so I got curious and bought this. Wait!? Isn't this heroine way too cute... They start out already as a couple, so it's full-on lovey-dovey from the very start. Going to school together, dates after school. The way Asanagi Umi gets sweet and clingy in such casual couple conversations is unfairly cute. Ishimi Manaka's performance fits the role perfectly too. It made me unable to wait for the anime, but I think I'll use this as a chance to read the original novels. And then I'll listen to this again and agonize over how good it is.

Since the voice comic days, CV: Ishimi-san has been in the role, and I was thrilled to hear the same cast is continuing for the anime. This time it's an audio work for "I Became Friends With the Second Cutest Girl in Class." The combination of an audio work and Ishimi-san has already proven great in other works, so I had high expectations this time too. And this time it's her more low-key, laid-back voice register, so getting to hear that in binaural was really valuable and made me happy. The content has them being a couple, or at least more-than-friends, being lovey-dovey in various places. If you've read the original novel or manga, you'll probably understand exactly what stage their relationship is at. Overall it's a really great work, but since there's an original source material, the fact that I end up becoming "Maehara Maki" felt like it clashed a bit with the audio-work format... Personally I feel like one of the great things about audio works is becoming an anonymous "someone" who does and has things done to them... It's not enough to dock points for, though, so I'm giving it the max rating!

Ishimi Manaka tends to get cast as characters who seem a bit unlucky in life — so-called 'tragic-fortune' characters — but her energetic, lively characters are great too. Listening to them feels so good." I recognize Ishimi Manaka as a voice actress with quite a lot of drawing power on DLsite, but my impression was that in many works she played "the kind of character that people imagine and expect from an Ishimi Manaka role." Her voice when playing those kinds of characters almost feels like it has some kind of healing effect, so that kind of casting is totally fine by me — but it's also great to hear her play a lively, energetic girl like Umi! Umi's performance was extremely charming. The kiss when waking Maki up, the mischief in the fitting room, and her straightforward affection — alongside Umi's cuteness, you could really feel how open and clingy she was with Maki. On the other hand, there are moments scattered throughout where she shows how much she cares for Maki too — giving him a massage out of concern for his condition, knowing his preferences inside and out. From the little details in her lines, you can feel her deep trust and sense of security with Maki, and as a listener you can relax and immerse yourself in their world. Even though Maki doesn't have any lines of his own in the script, you can imagine his embarrassment, confusion, and joy from Umi's reactions to him, which makes for a wonderful structure that lets the listener easily project themselves into Maki's position. Because their daily life together is depicted so carefully, listeners can experience the sweet time with Umi almost as if they themselves had become Maki. Di molto bene.

I always had a strong impression of Ishimi-san as someone who plays girls you want to protect, but lately she's also been playing more lively, energetic girls like Umi — I'm surprised at how wide her range has become. Anyway, this is the ASMR for "I Became Friends With the Second Cutest Girl in Class," which is also getting an anime adaptation. In terms of the original it covers content from volume 2 onward, depicting the daily life of the heroine Umi, played by Ishimi-san, and the protagonist boy Maki. The level of lovey-doveyness is quite high, so watch out for the sweetness overload!

My general impression of Ishimi Manaka's voice was that of a gentle, calm character type, but this is the first time I've heard her voice a character who feels this spirited and mischievous. In this audio work, you get called by the protagonist's name, so if you lean into feeling like you're seeing things from the protagonist's point of view, I think you'll enjoy it a lot. There's some mixed opinion about that, but personally, I honestly think it works. Honestly, this became the moment that made me want to root for the voice actress Ishimi Manaka even more. A flawless 5 stars.

I started watching because of the anime, for Ishimi-san. I discovered there was an ASMR, so I registered on this site for the first time and bought ASMR for the first time ever. Ishimi-san, thank you. So this is what ASMR is like... I'm coming from the anime side, and Umi's sense of distance is kind of broken already, but in this ASMR she's basically already his girlfriend. Is this a spoiler for the main story, or a dream? I can't tell since I'm following along at the same time as the anime, but since Umi is so cute, by around episode 5 of the anime they're probably already a couple. I enjoyed it as pure-love ASMR between a couple.

I originally read the novel and manga, so I bought this because I could hear Umi-chan's healing voice as performed by Ishimi-san. My thoughts are simply that it's the best — you can really feel how embarrassed Maehara, who's always together with her, gets, and listening to it you can feel like you've become Maehara yourself (lol). I won't spoil anything, but Umi-chan's gentle, enveloping warmth, along with her incredibly cute voice, really soothes your heart and eases anxiety when you're mentally worn out — just hearing Ishimi-san's voice is enough to cheer me right up... I can't wait for next year's anime... Personally, this is my favorite out of all the ASMR works I've listened to so far, and Umi-chan is just so unbelievably cute that I don't think you'll regret buying it! Highly recommended! I hope there's a second installment...

This is from someone who hasn't read the original. I'd heard the original's title before and was curious about it, so I used this sale as a chance to buy it. From the very start, the heroine's cuteness explodes and completely steals your heart. The daily-life part starts with morning routines, going to school, coming home, an after-school date, and a date at home — it's cute the whole way through, and the way she occasionally leans in close to whisper in your ear is unfairly cute. The ASMR portions were also pleasant, and the conversations and whispers in between were very cute too — it was a blissful time. You often get the "you're a wall watching the couple" kind of perspective, but since this is an ASMR work, this time I felt like I got to ride along in Maki-kun's body and observe the lovey-dovey moments with the heroine from much closer up. Combined with Ishimi-san's performance as the voice, it's already this cute just from the audio alone... so I can only imagine how cute it'll be once she's moving in the anime. I'm looking forward to the broadcast.

This work delivers, through audio, the romantic-comedy daily life unfolding between the protagonist and the heroine who is "the second cutest girl in class," faithful to the original. It's also getting an anime adaptation, so interest in it is very high. In this work, the actress playing the heroine Asanagi Umi performs as if speaking directly to the protagonist, and that sense of comfort gives the listener a strong feeling of immersion in the work as well. And Ishimi Manaka, who plays Umi — she's well known as one of the leading voices for sickly-sweet roles, so this could be a great starting point to get into the original work, or a great choice for your relaxing time if you're already reading it. I want to keep supporting this wonderfully flexible Classmate series going forward.
