Tucked quietly in one corner of this village stands a small laundry shop — "Okon." The proprietor of "Laundry Shop Okon" is Okon, who shares her name with the shop itself. A washing fox — an ayakashi from Shizuoka whose very nature is to do laundry. Okon's gentle words and gentle hands will quietly wash away the stagnation that has built up, unnoticed, in your heart and body through everyday life. Won't you come far away from the crowds, to this mountain village, and let yourself be washed — slowly, slowly — under Okon's guidance?
"Good day to you, weary traveler." Okon, the washing fox who runs "Laundry Shop ~Okon~," kindly welcomes you, tired from your travels. Washing is her very nature, and her joy comes from watching dirt and grime wash cleanly away. She will carefully and gently wash away your fatigue, your stress. That said, having lived barely 200 years, Okon is still, among fox spirits, only a lowly "field fox" (yako) — the lowest rank. But Okon always gives it her all. In order to wash away the stagnation carried by a weary traveler and help them feel more refreshed and at ease, she is mindful of her manners and does her best to speak elegantly. And yet, every now and then, her native Shizuoka dialect slips out unguarded. Please do cherish Okon, who — despite her occasional immaturity — works so hard by your side.
